Most games are won in preparation. Most victories happen before the kickoff. Most successful businesses win because they’ve mastered the art of preparation.
Take this little test …
… what big idea are you working on today?
… what steps are you taking to succeed?
… how much preparation went into your efforts?
My guess is that the answer to these simple questions is going to determine the success of your day and ultimately your life.
Don’t try to prove the world wrong by swinging old clubs harder.
Use the right tools.
Technology has made almost every sport easier. The leading golf club manufacturers have created instruments that can make almost every golfer better. That’s a fact. However … sometimes even the smartest people are stubborn. They live in a “back in the good old days” mentality, they use the same old clubs and their golf game struggles.
If any of us are going to make a difference to the people we live with day in and day out, then we must use the right tools. If your movement is going to thrive, then you have to implement the right activities … if your company is going to grow, you have infuse the right equipment. These are facts.
Don’t be stubborn. Don’t be foolish. Don’t try to prove the world wrong by swinging old clubs harder. (Every golfer gets this.)
Let’s get practical …
- How old is your phone?
- When was the last time your read an article about new technology?
- How many times do you use something just because it is comfortable?
- When was the last time you asked someone 30 years younger than you for advice?
